Of the 3,768 new bachelors graduating this time from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, there are 493 students with excellent Graduation and 1,196 students with excellent Graduation. Representing the new bachelors, Phuong Van Huy - a student of the Control and Automation Engineering class, head of the School of Electrical and Electronics of Hanoi University of Science and Technology - gave an emotional speech.
Van Huy, a San Chi ethnic group, was born and raised on a land rich in revolutionary traditions - the battlefield of Dinh Hoa Economic Zone, Thai Nguyen province. In my high school years, I was lucky to study at Thai Nguyen Ethnic Boarding School, a specialized school for ethnic minority children with achievements in the province.
"Here, I have been given wings of knowledge. From a shy student, I dared to dream big, dared to think about distant horizons" - she said and recounted, in 2021, she burst into happiness when she was admitted to Hanoi University of Science and Technology through talent selection.
She shared that when she first entered school, knowing that studying at the University of Science and Technology was never easy, she only set a modest goal: graduating on time, getting a degree in Quarterfinal and a stable job to take care of her family.
But with his perseverance, perseverance, and the support of his family, teachers, and friends, Van Huy overcame all challenges and most importantly, according to the male student, overcame himself. "From the goal of graduating on time, I have been able to achieve achievements that I had never dared to dream of before" - she said.
In particular, the male student expressed his special gratitude to his family, grandparents, and parents - those who have always been his most solid support.
"I was lucky to be born into a purely poor family filled with love. Although parents cannot teach their children advanced problems or complex physical laws, they have taught them the greatest lesson in life, about diligence, sacrifice and the value of knowledge" - the male student expressed.
Recalling the hard image of parents "selling their faces to the land and their backs to heaven" every day so that their children have a good environment and learning opportunities, the male student emotionally said:
"We used our parents' money to learn things we never had the opportunity to learn. We have asked our parents' sweat and tears to touch dreams that our parents never dared to dream of.
And we realize that: parents may not have the means to study as much as their children, parents traveling far away may not be as much as their children, but perhaps if they go all their lives, they will not be able to repay the love and great sacrifice that parents have given to us".
On behalf of the new bachelors, Phuong Van Huy shared that when wearing the bachelor's certificate, we not only carried our own pride, but also the dreams and aspirations of our family, hometown and young people - those who are eager to rise from humble beginnings.
"The graduation certificate of Hanoi University of Science and Technology is not only a testament to our tireless efforts, but also a great responsibility: responsibility to yourself, to your family and to society.
