On social networks in recent days, many images of food serving semi-boarding meals that are said to not ensure food safety and hygiene have appeared at Le Trong Tan Elementary School (Yen Nghia ward, Hanoi).
The incident happened on the morning of September 11, when some parents suddenly inspected the semi-boarding kitchen at Le Trong Tan Elementary School.
During the food inspection according to sensory criteria, color, smell..., parents discovered that many pieces of chicken for the semi-boarding meal had a strange smell, and many shrimp were spoiled and damaged even though they had full labels.
These foods were still in nylon bags at that time, with origin stamps and barcodes affixed on the outside.
Parents did not accept it, requesting the supplier to return these foods to the supplier, and at the same time replace them with other foods, ensuring semi-boarding meals for students.
According to the report of Yen Nghia Ward People's Committee on September 13, through document inspection, the source of shrimp and chicken food supplied to the kitchen of Le Trong Tan Elementary School on September 11 was implemented according to a supply chain with contracts between relevant units.
For shrimp food, VAS Group Joint Stock Company signed a contract with Dejoy Vietnam Co., Ltd.; Dejoy Vietnam Co., Ltd. signed a contract with Ngu Thien Service and Trading Co., Ltd.
For chicken meat food, VAS Group Joint Stock Company signed a contract with Dejoy Vietnam Co., Ltd.; Dejoy Vietnam Co., Ltd. signed a contract with Quoc Khanh Vietnam Food Processing Co., Ltd.
Food supply dossiers include contracts, invoices, and related documents to serve traceability according to regulations.
On September 13, Yen Nghia Ward People's Committee held a working conference with the Board of Directors of Le Trong Tan Primary School, some members of the Parent Representative Board and the meal provider to consider the case, listen to opinions from all parties and agree on handling and remedial measures.
Based on the results of inspection, verification and opinions at the conference, the Ward People's Committee directed the meal supplier to terminate the contract with 2 shrimp and chicken suppliers related to the quantity of substandard food; and at the same time choose a replacement source that ensures quality, food safety, has complete records, origin and traceability according to regulations.
On the afternoon of September 13, the Ward People's Committee together with school leaders, the Health Station, the Culture - Social Department, the Ward Police, and some members of the Parent Representative Board organized a field survey of the kitchen area at Branch I of Le Trong Tan Elementary School.
Based on the survey results, the Ward People's Committee agreed to organize 1 more cooking point at Branch I after completing some necessary conditions, striving to cook at Branch I on September 18.
