Regarding the thinking assessment exam, in 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology plans to expand the organization locations so that candidates in remote areas can still conveniently participate in this exam.
National Economics University has adjusted the admission quota based on high school graduation exam scores to 15%, a decrease of 3% compared to 2024. With the combined admission method according to its own project, the school reserves 83% of the quota, with 2% for direct admission. In addition, the school will use 4 admission combinations instead of 9 combinations as in 2024, including A00, A01, D01, D07, with no difference in scores between the combinations, no additional criteria, and all subjects are calculated with a coefficient of 1 when considering admission.
Regarding the enrollment plan of the University of Commerce in 2025, Mr. Nguyen Quang Trung - Deputy Head of the Communications and Admissions Department said that the enrollment targets and enrollment methods are still similar to previous years, without much change. However, the school will adjust the enrollment combinations to comply with the regulations and add some combinations to facilitate students.
"This year, the school will announce the enrollment plan earlier than every year. Currently, we are in the process of preparing the enrollment plan and will make it public as soon as the enrollment regulations are issued and there are instructions from the Ministry of Education and Training," said Mr. Trung.

For candidates who do not take the competency assessment exam, the school has a plan to convert their high school graduation exam scores to this exam score. Candidates with competency assessment exam scores from Hanoi National University will also be converted to competency assessment exam scores from Ho Chi Minh City National University according to the prescribed coefficient.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education has completely abandoned the method of considering high school transcripts for admission. In the orientation of using specialized competency assessment exams as the main method, the school organizes specialized competency assessment exams as an independent exam. It is expected that this method will include using 2 subjects for admission to each major, in which 1 main subject is multiplied by a coefficient of 2 and 1 secondary subject is not multiplied by a coefficient. This helps to comprehensively assess the learning capacity and suitability of candidates with the requirements of each major.
Ho Chi Minh City National University has agreed to implement three university admission methods: direct admission; admission based on the results of the Competency Assessment Test organized by the university; admission based on the results of the high school exam.
