Due to the impact of storm No. 5, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri has announced that all students will be off school from August 25 to ensure safety.

On August 24, the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Quang Tri province said that all students in the province will be off from school from August 25 until normal weather returns to ensure safety against the impact of storm No. 5.

The above decision was made after the Provincial People's Committee issued an urgent dispatch on focusing on responding to storm No. 5 and heavy rain.

Accordingly, schools informed preschool children, students, and trainees to be off school from the morning of August 25 until the weather returned to normal.

The Department of Education and Training requires educational institutions to brace classrooms and glass doors; preserve equipment and records in safe places; arrange staff and teachers to be on duty 24/7, to promptly handle arising situations.

At the same time, depending on the specific situation, heads of units can adjust the plan to concentrate students at the beginning of the year, temporarily suspend meetings, conferences, and unnecessary training to focus on storm and flood prevention and control.
