Along with IELTS, SAT is a certificate used by many universities in the 2025 enrollment season.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Dang Ngoc Minh Chau, a 12th grade student at Viet Duc High School (Hanoi) reviewed the exam very early. I have taken the exam twice and currently have a SAT certificate of 1,200.
With this score, female students can completely submit their applications to most universities that have SAT admission and are even admitted directly to some universities.
However, Minh Chau is afraid that this year's exam will have fierce competition to enter the top schools, so he still decided to continue registering for the third exam on March 8.
In the third exam, I set a goal of conquering a score of 1,400 - Minh Chau expressed.
To increase her chances of being admitted to the Law major, this female student plans to study by high school graduation exam scores, using SAT, IELTS certificates and the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University.
At the present time, Minh Chau does not allow himself to rest. I often study at the center until nearly 10pm and schedule self-study on days off the week. In addition, female students refer to online exams and practice them every day to overcome the weaknesses.
"I have had an IELTS certificate of 7.0 since October 2024. I will take the competency assessment exam in May" - the female student said.
Nguyen Khanh Nhat Huy, a 12th grade student at Dao Duy Tu High School (Quang Binh), is also preparing for the proxy exam to take the Hanoi National University's competency assessment exam on March 30.
Having expressed his wishes to enter Hanoi University of Industry, the male student began reviewing for the competency assessment exam when the school announced the removal of the form of admission based on independent high school transcripts.
"At the end of December, I intended to take the competency assessment exam. Therefore, I was quite pressured at this stage when I had to rush to supplement knowledge and practice to get acquainted with the types of questions. I have registered for an online course and reminded myself to do at least 1 subject per day - Nhat Huy confided.
To prevent the results from being as expected, the male student plans to register for another exam in the next registration if there are still vacant positions.
Sharing the same mindset as Minh Chau and Nhat Huy, Nguyen Thai Duong, a 12th grade student at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, is preparing hard for the second round of the thinking assessment test when his first score is not as expected.
With a thinking assessment test score of 73.64, Thai Duong is afraid that he will not be good enough to pass the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence major, Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
I expect to reach 85 points in the second round. Learning from the experience of the previous exam, I have supplemented my knowledge in Physics, partly causing me to lose many points" - the male student said.
At first, when having to review for 2 exams at the same time, Thai Duong had difficulty allocating time. Because I determined that I cannot interrupt my studies and reviews at school, and must try hard to get the highest score in the high school graduation exam. Therefore, there are times when I have to stay up all night to review for the exam.
Currently, I plan my studies each week in advance. In which, 2 days will be spent alone reviewing the thinking assessment test. I also joined social networking groups to discuss difficult subjects - Thai Duong shared his experience after taking a competition.
According to the male student, the biggest difficulty in reviewing many exams at the same time is planning for each stage to prioritize reviewing which exam. If time cannot be allocated appropriately, candidates may be overloaded with knowledge.
