STEM, AI and Robotics technology playground for high school students
On the afternoon of November 28, Tien Phong Newspaper coordinated with the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, the National Innovation Center, Hanoi University of Science and Technology and accompanying units to hold a press conference to announce the National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship for the 2025-2026 school year.
Journalist Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee - shared that this year's tournament was organized on a larger scale, with richer content and extensive support from professional units.
Each exam table and challenge is built so that students can be creative, experimental, collaborate and convert knowledge into practical value models and products, associated with the country's development orientations.

The contest contributes to practically implementing the spirit of Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution 71 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development.

Journalist Phung Cong Suong emphasized the theme "energy for the future" of this year's contest with two meaningful layers. That is energy in the true sense of science: wind power, solar power, energy-saving technology, models that students will research and simulate on the coffee table.
But deeper, it is a source of spiritual energy that is spreading in the young generation of Vietnam: the spirit of creativity, the desire to contribute, and the desire to contribute to building the future of the country in the digital age. That energy source is in harmony with the strong transformation of the country.
Each creative model, whether successful or unsuccessful, is a valuable step forward that brings children closer to what they dream of. The future will be built from the seeds of today's ideas, and from the aspiration to contribute and serve the country with their own knowledge, creativity and sense of responsibility" - he said.
Specializing STEM education content
According to Mr. Thai Van Tai - Director of the Department of General Education, Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), the current general education program aims to develop students' abilities. To form their abilities, they must have an experiential environment, thereby discovering their interests and passions. In lessons in class, teachers help form knowledge for students.

But if there are no practical activities like this, that knowledge is still only in the mind.
Mr. Tai acknowledged that the National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship is an activity that closely accompanies schools in forming and developing students' abilities and qualities.
In fact, in recent years, students participating in international science and technology competitions have achieved very good results, including the role of teachers in innovating teaching methods and many students in the team have matured from playgrounds like this, said Mr. Thai Van Tai.
According to Mr. Tai, innovating teaching methods for teachers is very important, but it is the playgrounds such as STEM and Robotics that create a comprehensive development environment for students.
Therefore, considering the competition as a " key" tool will reduce the value and motivation for science in students. Putting a weight on scores from the beginning will lose the greatest meaning of the playground - nurturing a passion for science
This year's contest takes place from November 2025 to April 2026, for high school students nationwide. Participating in the contest, students can experience and apply interdisciplinary knowledge into practice through lively challenges and suitable for each age group.
