
The delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central Trade Unions, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Party Secretary, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The working trip aims to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the trade union organizations of the two countries, while sharing experiences in the context of many changes in the international trade union movement.

During the visit, the President of the General Confederation of Labor held talks with the Acting President of the Egyptian Trade Union Confederation. At the meeting, the two sides highly appreciated the friendly cooperation and positive developments in diplomatic relations between the two countries, contributing to creating a premise for exchanges and cooperation between trade union organizations in the coming time.
The two sides agreed to continue to increase delegation exchanges and promote experience sharing between Vietnam Trade Union and Egypt Trade Union, especially in the fields of workers' rights protection, collective bargaining, and vocational training. The two sides also affirmed that they will increase mutual support at international labor forums and trade unions, promoting the voice of the workers' movement - trade union in the Asia - Africa region.
On this occasion, representatives of the two organizations agreed to promote the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation, creating a basis to promote bilateral cooperation in depth, practically and effectively in the coming time.
In addition to the talks, the Vietnam Trade Union Delegation visited and worked at a number of industry trade unions and affiliated units of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation, including: Egyptian Road Transport Trade Union, Vocational Training Center, Labor Culture - Sports Center and grassroots trade unions at EGEMAC Company - a large enterprise in the field of electrical equipment. Here, the delegation learned about the model of grassroots trade union activities, caring for workers and vocational skills improvement programs.
The visit and work in Egypt have contributed to strengthening the friendly relationship, opening up many substantial cooperation opportunities between the Vietnam Trade Union and the Egyptian Trade Union, and at the same time affirming the role of the Vietnam Trade Union in people-to-people diplomacy and international integration.
