In Tan Hung ward, the Ward People's Committee has completed a submission requesting approval of the Project on rearranging the network of public educational institutions. According to the plan, small-scale schools will be considered for merger, aiming to reduce at least 30% of the number of public school focal points compared to July 1, 2026.
Specifically, preschool levels decreased from 3 schools to 2. Hai Tan Kindergarten remains the same; Ngoc Son Kindergarten and Tan Hung Kindergarten merged into Tan Hung Kindergarten, with a scale of 31 classes, 712 children.
Primary school level from 3 schools to 2. Hai Tan Primary School remains the same; Ngoc Son Primary School and Tan Hung Primary School merge into Tan Hung Primary School, scale of 36 classes, 1,081 students.
At the lower secondary school level, 3 secondary schools Ngoc Son, Tan Hung, and Hai Tan are proposed to merge into Tan Hung Secondary School with 46 classes, nearly 1,800 students.
In Phu Thai commune, the locality currently has 15 schools, including 5 kindergartens, 5 primary schools and 5 secondary schools. According to the project, the commune plans to reduce it to 10 schools, equivalent to a reduction of 33.3%.
In which, the preschool level merges Kim Xuyen Kindergarten with Phuc Thanh Kindergarten; Kim Anh Kindergarten with Phu Thai Kindergarten. Primary school level, Phuc Thanh Primary School and Phu Thai Primary School are proposed to merge. Secondary school level implements 2 merging options including Kim Xuyen Secondary School with Phuc Thanh Secondary School and Kim Lien Secondary School with Kim Anh Secondary School.
In Gia Loc commune, the arrangement plan is expected to reduce the total number of schools from 19 to 11, a reduction of 8 schools, equivalent to 42.1%.
In which, preschools from 7 schools to 3; primary schools from 6 to 4 and secondary schools from 6 to 4. Some schools are kept unchanged, renamed; schools with appropriate scale are merged according to each cluster of areas.
The arrangement is identified by localities to streamline focal points, improve management efficiency, focus resources on investing in facilities and staff, and at the same time build a school network suitable for population size, ensuring stable teaching and learning activities.
