The information was shared by Mr. Ho Tan Minh - Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training (DET HCMC) - on the afternoon of April 11, at an online training session to deploy additional teaching and learning management software.
Mr. Minh said that the department is consulting and collecting opinions from departments and related units to draft regulations on extra teaching and learning before proposing to the City People's Committee, including regulations on the time to organize extra teaching and learning.
It may be stipulated that extra teaching and learning institutions cannot organize teaching after 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Minh explained that the city often has traffic jams during rush hour, so it is necessary to calculate so that students have enough time to eat and move to extra classes after school, while also ensuring extra classes for students of about 1.5 hours or more.
"Many students study 2 sessions at school, there is a lot of study time, so extra classes should be completed before 8:00 p.m. so that they can go home to rest and chat with their parents and grandparents. The Department will continue to collect opinions before submitting to the City People's Committee," said Mr. Minh.
Mr. Ho Tan Minh added that up to now, the city has about 3,000 teachers registered to teach extra classes and 1,300 extra-curricular institutions.
The tutoring management software is located at https://dtht.hcm.edu.vn.
The software will publicize tutoring centers, tutoring centers, tutoring teachers, classes, tuition fees, etc. so that parents and students can grasp the information carefully.
It is expected that from now until the end of April, facilities must register information to the system, if their names are not on the system, they are not eligible for additional teaching and learning according to the provisions of Circular 29.
"The Department will advise the City People's Committee to issue regulations on the management of extra classes in the area as soon as possible to have a basis for management and guidance. From there, to put the management of extra teaching and learning into the trajectory according to regulations", said Mr. Minh.
