Temporarily suspending boarding meals after suspected expired meat at a school in Ho Chi Minh City

After the suspicion of expired meat entering schools, some schools in Ho Chi Minh City have temporarily suspended semi-boarding meals to wait for the conclusion of functional agencies.

On January 28, Tan Quy Elementary School (Tan Hung ward) notified all parents about the temporary suspension of boarding meals.

The reason for temporarily suspending semi-boarding meals is that the meal provider was reported to have used expired meat to process meals.

According to the announcement of Tan Quy Elementary School, the temporary suspension of boarding meals will start from January 28 until there is a conclusion from functional agencies.

During this time, parents will arrange time to pick up and drop off their children. In case parents cannot pick up and drop off, the school allows parents to prepare meals for students themselves, and at the same time notify the homeroom teacher for the school to arrange meals and lunch breaks for the children.

Similarly, Nguyen Van Huong Elementary School (Phu Thuan ward) also announced the temporary suspension of boarding meals until there is a conclusion from functional agencies.

Nguyen Van Huong Elementary School is also the unit using the company's meals, which was reported to use expired meat to process meals.
