Commencement of 10 projects
Accordingly, along with 121 multi-level boarding general education school projects being simultaneously started in land border communes across the country, Thanh Hoa province organized the commencement of 10 multi-level boarding general education primary - secondary school projects in border communes, under the program "Building 100 Border Schools" launched by the Government.
Among the 10 groundbreaking points, in Chim village, Nhi Son commune, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee chose it as the main point, organizing the groundbreaking ceremony of Nhi Son Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School.
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony at this school were Mr. Nguyen Doan Anh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tri - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment; representatives of leaders of ministries and central agencies; leaders of provincial departments and agencies, along with a large number of students, teachers and people of Nhi Son commune.
It is known that Nhi Son Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School has an area of about 2.72ha; the project is being renovated, repaired, and expanded the existing Primary School and Secondary School area, and new items are being built including: renovating the primary school principal house into a department house and a primary school library; renovating the secondary school principal house and the secondary school department house into a principal house.
The new construction items include: 3-story secondary school subject school building; multi-purpose building; kitchen and laundry room; 4-story dormitory, semi-boarding, and office building; auxiliary items and technical infrastructure works. When completed, the project will meet the standards of an inter-level primary - secondary school boarding school with a scale of 22 classes, 664 students.
People are excited
Sharing with PV of Lao Dong Newspaper about her mood when attending the groundbreaking ceremony of the Nhi Son Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School project (Nhi Son commune), Ms. Lau Y Sai (32 years old, residing in Loc Ha village, Nhi Son commune) said that from early morning, many people and students were present at the groundbreaking location to attend the ceremony.
“Before that, when I heard the news that the locality was preparing to start construction of a large-scale multi-level school project with spacious facilities, not only me but also the people in the village were happy and looking forward to it. Therefore, this morning I and many others came early to witness the ceremony. Hopefully the project will be completed soon so that the children and grandchildren have a new, spacious and cleaner school” - Ms. Sai shared.
At another starting point, the Trung Ly Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School project (Trung Ly commune, Thanh Hoa province), Ms. Luc Thi Trang (resident of Tao village) could not hide her excitement. Ms. Trang said that as a parent with a child studying in the locality, she and many other parents want to have a standard, spacious school so that children have better learning conditions, especially in the context of the border region still facing many difficulties.
Today, witnessing the groundbreaking ceremony of the new school, I feel very happy because my wish has come true" - Ms. Trang expressed.
