On August 25, the Office of the Provincial People's Committee confirmed that Mr. Dau Thanh Tung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has signed a series of decisions on the merger of high schools.
Accordingly, many high schools and general schools with multiple levels of education are merged into existing schools directly under the Department of Education and Training.
Specifically, Yen Dinh 3 High School was merged into Thong Nhat Secondary and High School, becoming Thong Nhat Secondary and High School. After the merger, the school is a public educational institution with legal status, with its own account and seal, under the management of the Department of Education and Training. The main school is located in Nong Truong village, Yen Phu commune; the branch is located in Xuan Hoa village, Yen Phu commune.
Nguyen Mong Tuan High School was merged into Dong Son 1 High School, becoming Dong Son 1 High School. After reorganization, the school continued to operate in Dong Son ward, including the main school in Dong Xuan residential group and the branch in Cao Son residential group. For secondary school students, secondary school teachers and related records of Nguyen Mong Tuan High School, the Department of Education and Training coordinated with Dong Son Ward People's Committee to transfer them to Nguyen Chich Secondary School.
Along with that, Sam Son High School was merged into Nguyen Thi Loi High School, becoming Nguyen Thi Loi High School. The merged school is located at No. 18 Dao Duy Tu street and its branch is located on Tran Hung Dao street, Sam Son ward.
Some other schools were also reorganized, including: Nga Son High School merged into Ba Dinh High School, becoming Ba Dinh High School; Nguyen Trai High School merged into Ham Rong High School, becoming Ham Rong High School.
Le Hong Phong High School merged into Bim Son High School, becoming Bim Son High School; To Hien Thanh High School merged into Dao Duy Tu High School, becoming Dao Duy Tu High School.
Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to guide schools to organize the handover and reception of students, civil servants, contract workers, finance, assets, dossiers, documents and related contents; complete before August 30, 2026.
According to Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the merger is implemented according to the overall plan to arrange public preschool, general education, continuing education, and vocational education institutions in Thanh Hoa province, in order to reorganize the school system in accordance with management requirements and actual conditions.
