Enrollment for grades 1 and 6
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training (GDDT), registration and enrollment in the entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year will be carried out online.
According to the plan, from January 15 to February 2, 2026, educational institutions will update, authenticate and synchronize end-of-grade student data.
From February 3rd to March 3rd, 2026, parents will review and confirm information on the entrance exam site https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn.
Note that if parents do not review or not confirm information within the prescribed time limit, the system will default that parents have approved all existing information and use it as an official basis in enrollment.
Registration is carried out in the following steps:
Step 1: Parents open a web browser (Firefox, Chrome, Coc Coc, Safari...).
Step 2: Go to address: https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn
Step 3: On the homepage screen, parents should carefully read the information sections about regulations, information, and admission registration instructions.
Step 4: Select Confirm information, select the grade level, personal identification number and provided password to perform the enrollment result lookup.
Students studying at the end of preschool, parents choose the registered enrollment level as Primary school.
Students in 5th grade, parents choose the registered enrollment level as secondary school.
Step 5: The system displays an interface to check student information, parents of students review student application information at the final level.
10th grade enrollment
In 2026, the public 10th grade entrance exam will be organized in the direction of combining both exam and admission methods to suit the actual conditions of each area.
In which, most public high schools continue to apply the form of entrance exams with 3 subjects: Math, Literature, Foreign Language and specialized or integrated subject exams if taking the entrance exam to 10th grade specialized or integrated.

The implementation schedule is divided into 4 phases.
Phase 1: From January 1st to February 28th, conduct student data statistics. Assess the student reception capacity of educational institutions. From there, units develop detailed enrollment targets.
Phase 2: From February 1 to March 31, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will develop a draft enrollment plan for all levels; Seek opinions from relevant parties and issue an official plan.
Phase 3: From March 31 to May 31, deploy and organize, implement propaganda and dissemination of plans, receive applications for exams, and prepare facilities.
Phase 4: From June 1st to August 31st, organize exams, supervise and evaluate results, summarize and draw experience. (The 10th entrance exam is expected to take place in early June).
