Accordingly, the female student involved in the incident was L.T.M.P, a 7th grade student at An Trung Secondary School.
On March 30, P. called her mother to report a stomachache and felt tired, asking to take her to the hospital. After being taken to Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, the doctor determined that the child had taken a large amount of painkillers, about 30 paracetamol tablets.
After 4 days of treatment, my child's health has stabilized and I have returned to normal schooling.
The school where P. studied quickly took action and verified the incident. Accordingly, the school confirmed that there was no phenomenon of this female student being isolated, boycotted or bullied by a group as reported.
P. was confirmed to be in normal health but had unusual signs in behavior, such as lack of communication and lack of active participation in class activities.
Ms. Dang Thi T., P.'s homeroom teacher, said that this female student had an average academic performance and spoke little. Although there have been times of teasing by friends, according to their classmates, these are just normal jokes and there is no bullying.
After the incident was reported, the school's board of directors held a meeting with P. and his family to clarify the incident. At the meeting, P. affirmed that he was not bullied or isolated.
Ms. Ho Thi T., P.'s mother, said that her child's actions were due to psychological changes in their new age, leading to uncontrolled decisions.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoan - Chief of Nghe An Department of Education and Training - said: "After receiving the information, the Department directed Dien Chau District Education and Training Department to verify and clarify the incident; suggest the school to coordinate with parents to visit, encourage students, support promptly so that they can stabilize and continue learning.
