On March 21, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) held the closing ceremony of the national science and technology research competition for the 2024-2025 school year.
As a result, the jury selected 120 topics to award, including 12 First Prizes; 36 Second Prizes; 36 Third Prizes and 36 Fourth Prizes.
The list of 12 First Prizes includes:
1. Project to develop solutions to support male reproductive health assessment at home of students Nguyen Mai Khue, Pham Quang Phuc An, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University (VNU) Hanoi.
2. The Project to Research on creating neutral antibodies to Botulinum Type A toxin is based on nanobody technology of a group of students Mai Tam Trung and Dang Tran Bao Anh, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Hanoi National University of Education.
3. The Vibrio Natriegens research project is capable of generating whole β-Nicotonamide Mononucleotide using metabolic techniques of students Tran Vu Thao Phuong and Pham Huy Tuan Dat, High School for the Gifted, Hanoi National University of Education.
4. The nano Zinc oxide proxy system project in self-cleaning and antibacterial applications of a group of students Nguyen Anh Tho and Chu Duc Thinh, An Duong High School, Hai Phong.
5. The lithium vanadium oxide High-performance oxidation material project to treat the environment of a group of students Do Ha Phuong, Nguyen Duc Thai, Viet Duc High School, Hanoi City.
6. The AT-05 Commercial Insurance policies project of a group of students Nguyen Le Minh Khoi and Nguyen Trinh Bac, Han Thuyen High School, Bac Ninh.
7. The Application of Deep Learning in Automatic Music Composition Project, orienting the preservation and development of Southern Actress Song, by a group of students Nguyen Duc Tan, Ha Nhat Bao, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Ho Chi Minh City.
8. Talkie Vbot- Robot project to support education for children with language disabilities, by a group of students Huynh Huy Hung, Nguyen Nhat Tuan Kiet, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang City.
9. Smart waste classification system project integrated with artificial intelligence and sound sensors by a group of students Vu Ngoc Anh and Vu Dinh Dang Hien, Nguyen Sieu High School, Hung Yen.
10. The Self-driving wheelchair project to support people with multiple sclerosis on one side to move and communicate, a group of students from Cao Trung Quan and Le Minh Hieu, Quang Tri Town High School, Quang Tri.
11. The project to identify influencing factors and propose a set of criteria for self-assessment in choosing a suitable university major for high school students, Do Mai Hong Anh and Nguyen Thi Linh Dan group, Lam Son High School for the Gifted, Thanh Hoa.
12. The Project Factors affecting the risk of psychological manipulation in the relationship between peer friends of high school students in Hanoi of the group of students Nguyen Vu Hong Phuc and Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Phan Huy Chu High School - Dong Da, Hanoi City.
From the first prize-winning topics, the Ministry of Education and Training will select the topics for the 2025 International Science and Technology Competition, scheduled to be held in May 2025 in the US.
This year, the contest has the participation of 62/63 Departments of Education and Training and 12 units of universities, colleges, institutes, research institutes with high schools; high schools under ministries and ministerial-level agencies.
The contest has a total of 212 participating projects, including 23 individual projects, 189 collective projects; 190 projects for high school students and 22 projects for junior high school students. The contest has a total of 401 students participating, including 358 high school students and 43 junior high school students.
