The National Science and Technology Research Competition for secondary and high school students in the 2025-2026 school year is organized by the Ministry of Education and Training from March 20 to 22.
With the Phu Tho delegation, 7/9 projects won prizes, including 3 second prizes, 1 third prize and 3 fourth prizes.
Participating in the Contest, the Phu Tho delegation brought 9 projects in the fields of: Social Sciences and Behavior, Embedded Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Biochemistry.
The projects come from Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted (4 projects), schools: Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, Hoang Van Thu High School for the Gifted, Doi Can High School, Thanh Thuy High School, Ly Tu Trong Secondary School (1 project per unit).
As a result, 3 projects won the Second Prize including: "Device to support visually impaired people towards purposeful action", "Digital fatigue: Current situation and solutions for high school students" and "Current situation and measures to respond to toxic productivity in high school students", all implemented by students of Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted.
The Third Prize belonged to the project "The impact of interaction behavior with generative AI Chatbots on critical thinking" of students of Ly Tu Trong Secondary School.
The remaining 3 winning projects include: "The impact of socio-psychological factors on active learning in students" - Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted; "Smart gloves to support deaf and mute people, visually impaired people" - Thanh Thuy High School; "Selection of Monascus sp. mushroom strain. synthesizing high lovastatin active ingredient" - Hoang Van Thu High School for the Gifted.
This year's competition attracted 51 participating units, including 34/34 provinces and cities and 17 units directly under the Ministry. Nationwide, there are 242 projects in 21 fields participating in the competition.
In the field of technology alone, there are 34 system software projects, 32 embedded system projects and 16 robot and smart machine projects.
