Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted project started in January 2023 on an area of 6 hectares in Tan Ha Ward (Tuyen Quang City). The project has a total investment of more than 255 billion VND, invested by the Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang province.
Recorded on October 2, after nearly 2 years of implementation, the project is now completing the final stages of work to prepare for handover to the investor. 5 blocks of 3 to 4 storey buildings and functional subdivisions have completed construction.
Most of the construction workers and equipment have withdrawn from the project. Only a few workers are still working on plastering and finishing some small items such as walkways, painting fences, and planting trees in the yard.
Mr. Tran Van Son, a project worker, said: "There are only about a dozen workers left at the construction site, focusing on repairing and completing some locations. The main items were completed in September 2024."
Inside the classrooms and offices, basic equipment such as lighting and fans have been installed. Teaching equipment has not yet been installed.
The representative of the construction unit (Joint venture of Ha Do 23 Joint Stock Company - Nam Hai Construction Joint Stock Company) said that by the end of October 2024, the project will be handed over to the investor.
"We only take on the construction part, the installation package of teaching equipment will be handled by another contractor," he said.
On October 2, speaking with reporters, Mr. Vu Dinh Hung - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang province said that the construction package has now reached nearly 100% of the contract value. In the coming time, teaching equipment will be installed to put the project into use by the end of November 2024.
