Candidates taking all 4 exam papers, not violating regulations, and no exam paper below 3.5 points will be eligible for admission. Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted uses a flexible admission method according to each specialized subject.
Specifically, for specialized classes in Mathematics, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, the scores of Literature and English (round 1) are a condition, not used to calculate admission scores. For candidates taking the English specialized exam, the scores of literature and mathematics in round 1 are a condition, not used to calculate admission scores. The admission score for the English specialized class is the total score of English in round 1 (coefficient 1) and the specialized score (coefficient 2).
The school does not add priority points; candidates registering for specialized information subjects can take specialized subjects such as mathematics or informatics (expected 50% for each option).
For specialized Geography, the school enrolls students according to 2 options: Enrolling from the results of candidates registering for specialized Geography classes; Enrolling from the results of common subject exams (Math, Literature, English round 1) of candidates who are not admitted to specialized classes, with the condition that each subject achieves 3.5 points or higher, specialized subject achieves over 2 points and has a registration dossier for specialized Geography.

Mathematics, Literature (coefficient 1) and specialized foreign language are tested in the form of multiple choice combined with essays; Foreign language (coefficient 1) is tested in the form of multiple choice.
For specialized foreign language subjects, candidates can take the English exam for classes: English specialized, Russian specialized, French specialized, Chinese specialized, German specialized, Japanese specialized, Korean specialized; take the French exam for French specialized classes; take the Chinese exam for Chinese specialized classes; take the German exam for German specialized classes; take the Japanese exam for Japanese specialized classes; take the Korean exam for Korean specialized classes.
The admission score is the total exam score of 4 specialized subjects Literature, Mathematics, English, Foreign Language on a scale of 10; in which the specialized foreign language subject calculates a coefficient of 2 and the remaining subjects calculate a coefficient of 1. The school only considers admissions for candidates participating in the entrance exam, who have taken all the exam subjects according to regulations and all exam subjects achieved scores greater than 2.0 points.
The school is expected to announce exam scores and benchmark scores on the same day and before June 21.
