On December 29, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Vietnam National University HCMC) held a ceremony to announce and award decisions on professor and associate professor appointments in 2025.
The appointed lecturers belong to many industry and interdisciplinary councils such as Chemistry - Food Technology, Construction - Architecture, Mathematics, Electricity - Electronics - Automation, Transportation and Economy. In which, the field of Chemistry - Food Technology has the largest number of recognized lecturers (6 people).
Currently, the University of Science and Technology has 17 professors and 130 associate professors.
According to a report by Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City at the 2025 annual conference, as of October 31, the unit has 41 professors and 349 associate professors.
Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City aims to increase by 1,500 lecturers and experts with doctoral degrees by 2030. In addition to the quantity, the quality of the staff is also standardized with a target of 50% of PhDs achieving professor and associate professor titles.
