Ho Chi Minh City - On July 17, Di An Ward People's Committee held a meeting on enrollment at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year for preschool, primary and secondary school levels.

At the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Hong - Chairman of Di An Ward People's Committee (Ho Chi Minh City) assigned professional departments and agencies to proactively coordinate in reviewing and advising on solutions to promptly remove difficulties in facilities, equipment, personnel and enrollment work. At the same time, requesting units to strengthen coordination, fully prepare human and material resources, ensuring enrollment work takes place smoothly, creating a premise for the 2026-2027 school year to start on schedule, safely and with quality.

According to Di An ward, in the 2026-2027 school year, the entire ward is assigned enrollment targets for 109 grade 1 classes with a total of 4,578 students at 9 public primary schools.

For secondary school level, the enrollment target for grade 6 is 87 classes with a total of 4,294 students, distributed at 5 schools in the area. Enrollment work is carried out by the locality in accordance with regulations, ensuring publicity, transparency, the right subjects and the right assigned targets.

However, because it is the first year of implementing online entrance exams, some difficulties still arise during the implementation process, such as parents not being proficient in registration operations, errors in application information, and pressure to support at reception points.

According to records, this is the most populous ward in Ho Chi Minh City with nearly 256,000 people. Di An ward has many production enterprises, concentrating a large number of workers. In the new school year, the locality is under a lot of pressure in terms of preparation for facilities, teaching equipment, classrooms and teachers.
