On March 12, Mau A Secondary School (Mau A commune, Lao Cai province) informed that the unit had an initial report on the incident of a student using a ballpoint pen to stab a classmate many times, which occurred in class 7G of the school.
According to reports, the incident originated from a seating dispute between P.M. T (born 2011, currently living with her in Ga Nham village, Mau A commune) and N.T. H. L (born 2013, residing in An Hoa village, Mau A commune).
On the morning of March 9, during a position dispute at the same table, L used a ballpoint pen to stab her friend's thigh many times.
Because student T did not react and did not report to the teacher, this behavior continued to happen a number of times.
According to the school, after school that day and on March 10, T still lived and came to class normally. However, on the morning of March 10, L continued to use a ballpoint pen to stab her friend's thigh about 20 times.
After grasping the information, the school requested the related students to write reports, self-criticize, and at the same time notify their families to coordinate management and education.
The incident has been reported to the Party Committee and local authorities and coordinated with Mau A Commune Police to verify and clarify. In addition, the school monitors the student's health situation, visits families and commits to handling the case in accordance with regulations.
According to school leaders, student L has admitted his actions, seriously reviewed and apologized to student T in front of the school and both families, and committed not to re-offend.
In the coming time, the school will strengthen behavioral skills education, build a safe school environment, and limit violent behavior among students.
