On October 21, the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune (Quang Tri province) said that this agency is seeking opinions from the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee to consider continuing to suspend the work of Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue - Vice Principal of Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, the person in charge of the boarding kitchen, related to the case of 40 students hospitalized for suspected food poisoning.
According to the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune, the reason for the proposed extension of the suspension period is because many parents have not agreed to let Ms. Hue return to work when the case is still under investigation, and there is no official conclusion from the authorities.
Previously, the school coordinated with the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune to organize a meeting with all parents of 75 boarding students to discuss the work of reorganizing the kitchen. At the meeting, many parents recommended that the authorities continue to suspend Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue's work until the investigation results were clear.
Regarding this issue, the school's leaders said that they will base on the meeting minutes with parents to make a document to send to the Commune People's Committee for consideration and handling according to their authority.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of September 26, 40 students of Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities had to be hospitalized for emergency treatment after breakfast due to suspected food poisoning. Test results from the Pasteur Nha Trang Institute showed that 1 of the 4 food samples was positive for Bacillus cereus bacteria, the cause of acute food poisoning.
