According to the reporter's records, this roundabout area still has many worrying limitations. The lane division system is not clear, causing difficulties for drivers when moving to the intersection. Some sections of the road surface have not been completely paved, posing a potential risk of insecurity.

In particular, in the area in front of the gate of Can Tho City Central Bus Station, although the parallel road is organized in one direction, the lack of directional signs has led to a situation where many vehicles still deliberately go in the wrong direction, causing chaos and potential accidents.
The danger increased when many vehicles moving from Tran Hoang Na bridge did not follow the road markings, turning around the vehicle in the connecting distance between Tran Hoang Na bridge and the roundabout instead of going around the roundabout. This behavior is extremely dangerous and can lead to collisions at any time.

Can Tho is also entering the rainy season, at some locations in the curved section adjacent to National Highway 1A towards Tran Hoang Na bridge, water is often stagnant, causing obstruction and increasing the risk of landslides, especially for motorbike drivers.
Ms. Kim Loan (Cai Rang District) - a regular passenger in this area - expressed concern: "When it rains or at night, the road is not regular, big vehicles run fast, making weak drivers like me very worried when passing through this section".

Faced with this urgent situation, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee - Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen - has issued an official dispatch directing relevant agencies to urgently overcome the above shortcomings, in order to control and minimize traffic accidents.
Accordingly, the City ODA Project Management Board is required to deploy painting of the lane division line in the roundabout area according to the approved design. Install a signboard to show specific directions for vehicles (except container trucks) from the Can Tho bridge approach road to Tran Hoang Na bridge, requiring a right turn onto the parallel road (in front of the central bus station gate) to get onto Tran Hoang Na bridge, avoiding entering the main intersection.

Install signs prohibiting left turns from the central bus station to the parallel road to ensure one-way traffic organization. Asphalt and paint the entire parallel road in front of the bus station according to the design.
Install a soft median strip between the connecting sections of the Tran Hoang Na bridge project and the ring's islets to prevent dangerous vehicle reversal. Immediately fix the stagnant points in the area of the curve between National Highway 1A towards Tran Hoang Na bridge.

Open the lighting at night in the roundabout area. Asphalt the road surface and temporarily handle it to ensure safe traffic on both sides of the residential road leading to Tran Hoang Na bridge (in Ninh Kieu district).
The city police are also directed to increase patrols, control and strictly handle violations of traffic order and safety in this area. The authorities will support traffic regulation during the process of construction units paving the road surface and painting the road markings.
