On March 31, the Department of Construction of Quang Tri province confirmed that regarding the implementation of site clearance for the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway project, the locality has completed compensation, payment of support and handover of the main route's site of 32.53/32.53km, reaching 100% (Cam Lo district 6.58km, Gio Linh district 11.7km, Vinh Linh district 14.25km).
In addition to the main route, there is also a expressway overpass including 3 locations: National Highway 9, the northern bypass of National Highway 9 and National Highway 9D. The total length of the expressway overpasses is 2.23km (National Highway 9 is 0.78km long; the northern bypass of National Highway 9 is 0.6km long; National Highway 9D is 0.85km long).
Currently, there is still a household that has not agreed to receive compensation and hand over the site within the National Highway 9 overpass (Cam Hieu commune, Cam Lo district).
According to Cam Lo District People's Committee, at 3:00 p.m. on March 31, the leaders of the District People's Committee were still present at the private home of the household to persuade the receipt of money and hand over the site for the construction of the expressway overpass.
Mr. Tran Hoai Linh - Vice Chairman of Cam Lo District People's Committee said that if people still do not cooperate, the locality will carry out enforcement. If enforced, households will not receive other support policies from the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.
"We have developed a enforcement plan to be able to hand over the cleared site for expressway construction in March 2025 according to the direction of superiors" - Mr. Tran Hoai Linh said.
Previously, on March 10, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung had a working session in Quang Tri province regarding the construction of expressways through Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces. Here, the Deputy Prime Minister requested Quang Tri province to complete site clearance and hand over the site by March 2025 at the latest for expressway construction units, ensuring the set schedule.
According to the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board, up to now, the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway project (passing through Quang Tri and Quang Binh provinces) has completed 59km/62.32km; the road foundation has been completed 55.62km/62.32km; 29/29 bridges have been constructed (overpass 23/29 bridges have been installed, and three overpasses are still stuck). For the remaining volume, the units are striving to basically complete it by April 30, 2025, while the three overpasses are striving to complete it by June 30, 2025. However, this depends on the time the locality completes the handover of the site.
