2 important traffic road projects in the eastern area of Lam Dong province are being requested to accelerate progress, namely the Thu Khoa Huan road upgrade project (section from Ton Duc Thang road to Cau Ke) and the Road project from the center of Ham Thuan Bac district to National Highway 1.
In which, the Thu Khoa Huan road upgrade project must be completed before the Lunar New Year to serve people and tourists in the coastal city. The remaining route plays a vital role in connecting National Highway 1 and National Highway 28.

On January 8, records at the construction site of the Thu Khoa Huan road upgrade project show a busy scene of workers and machinery. The project is about 2.2km long.
The Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Phan Thiet area said that up to now, 54% of the project volume has been completed. In which, layer 1 asphalt paving is more than 500m, crushed stone grading is 1.3km and sections of rainwater and wastewater drainage systems, substationary electrification...

Currently, the sections under construction are fenced on one side of the road, so the travel of vehicles in the center of Phan Thiet is quite inconvenient.
Therefore, Mr. Nguyen Minh - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested the Phan Thiet Construction Investment Project Management Board to continue urging contractors to focus manpower, machinery, and overtime construction to complete the entire route before the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.

Reaching the finish line on time is expected to reduce traffic pressure, embellish the urban appearance and create favorable conditions for tourists during the peak spring travel season at the beginning of the year.
In parallel, the road project from the center of Ham Thuan Bac to National Highway 1 is identified as a strategic connecting route between National Highway 1 and National Highway 28, contributing to completing the inter-regional transportation network.
The route is more than 4.4km long with a total investment of nearly 265 billion VND. Currently, the roadbed, crushed stone base, drainage system and bridge access roads are under construction.
However, the project still has major obstacles in the compensation and site clearance stage with 43/191 households not agreeing to receive money. Capital in 2025 has disbursed more than 46.9/77.2 billion VND, reaching about 61%.

Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh requested the Project Management Board of Ham Thuan Bac area to continue urging contractors to asphalt immediately the sections that have land. At the same time, coordinate with local authorities to mobilize the remaining households to hand over land soon.
Accelerating the progress of the 2 routes is considered an urgent task, aimed at ensuring smooth traffic and promoting economic and tourism development in the eastern part of Lam Dong province.
