Quang Binh - The first international charter flight from Dong Hoi to Taipei (Taiwan, China) departs, opening up opportunities for connection and tourism development in the province.

On March 29, information from Dong Hoi Airport (Quang Binh province) said that it is preparing for the first charter flight (a fully paid-back flight) between Dong Hoi and Taipei (Taiwan, China).

On March 31, 2025, Vietjet Air officially launched the Dong Hoi (Quang Binh) - Taipei (Taiwan, China) international route, marking a new step in the development of air transport connectivity between Central Vietnam and East Asia.

Dong Hoi Airport said that the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has issued a flight license, allowing Vietjet Air to operate the Dong Hoi (VDH) - Taipei (TPE) international route (Taiwan, China).

In the period from March 31 to October 13, 2025, the VDH - TPE - VDH route will have a total of 26 flights (equivalent to 13 round trips).

Flight from Dong Hoi to Taipei (Taiwan, China) with code VJ7172, departing at 12:40 and arriving at Taipei (Taiwan, China) at 15:40 (local time). The return trip from Taipei (Taiwan, China) to Dong Hoi is coded VJ7173, departing at 16:40 and arriving at Dong Hoi at 19:40.

According to the representative of Dong Hoi Airport, this is the first international charter flight to operate at Dong Hoi Airport, with an average of about 80 passengers/trip. The new route not only opens up trade opportunities and cultural connections between Quang Binh and Taipei (Taiwan, China) but also contributes to promoting local tourism to the world.

This is the second time Dong Hoi Airport has served international flights. Previously, in 2017 - 2018, flights were operated from Chiang Mai (Thailand).
