As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) and Quang Binh province have worked on the project to upgrade Dong Hoi Airport, including building the T2 Passenger Terminal and expanding the aircraft parking lot.

Currently, this airport has exceeded the designed capacity, expected to reach nearly 1 million passengers/year by 2025, requiring infrastructure upgrades to meet development needs.

ACV is committed to completing the stadium expansion before April 30, 2025 and starting construction of Terminal T2 immediately, with an expected construction period of 12-14 months.
