On March 19, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Room 6, Traffic Police Department) said that they had recorded remote fines for many vehicles violating the offense of stopping and parking in prohibited places on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway through Lam Dong province.
On March 18 alone, functional forces recorded 22 vehicles violating stopping and parking violations in the access road area to the rest stop.
These cases are fined from 800,000 VND to 1,000,000 VND according to the provisions of point e, clause 3, Article 6, Decree 168/ND-CP.
According to the Traffic Police, it stems from the fact that some drivers, for personal convenience, arbitrarily stop and park in areas with no-parking signs, especially at access roads to and from rest stops.
Meanwhile, the rest stop area has been fully arranged for vehicles to stop and park safely.

This behavior potentially poses a risk of serious traffic accidents, especially when vehicles on the expressway move at high speeds. Parking in violation of regulations can lead to particularly serious chain collisions.
Functional forces recommend that vehicle drivers comply with regulations, do not stop or park in the wrong location on the expressway to ensure safety for themselves and traffic participants.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper also reflected the situation of illegal stopping and parking at km234 at the beginning of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, passing through Ham Kiem commune, Lam Dong province.
Some trucks stop and park to rest at night, which poses a potential risk of traffic unsafety and security and order. Because this area also has a situation where thieves crawl through highway protection fences, approaching vehicles that are stopping and parking. Taking advantage of drivers sleeping, subjects can pry open car doors to steal property.
