On April 1, Mr. Phan Anh Tu - Secretary, Chairman of the People's Committee of Loc Nga commune (Bao Loc city, Lam Dong) - said that the police are investigating the case of illegal excavation on the positive slope of the southern bypass of Bao Loc city.
The case was investigated and handled by Loc Nga Commune Police in coordination with the Economic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police.

Up to now, the authorities have inspected and recorded the actual scene of illegal excavation and soil transportation.
The authorities temporarily detained a number of related vehicles such as excavators and tractors.

The police agency also worked with related people to serve the investigation and clarify the incident.

Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported the illegal excavation of soil on the positive slope of the southern bypass of Bao Loc city, in Kim Dien village (Loc Nga commune).

For many days, illegal excavation of soil has occurred, causing people involved to arbitrarily remove barriers set up by authorities to ensure safety on the route.

This activity caused the tens of meters long positive slope to be "ripped off", creating many dangerous "frog hammocks" at risk of landslides.
In particular, under these "frog hammocks" are medium and low voltage power lines and many electric poles lying on the ground, with a very high risk of collapse.
