Hanoi Department of Construction has just announced a plan for traffic diversion and organization to ensure traffic safety to serve the construction of the Da dike road project according to the plan in Phu Dong commune (formerly Gia Lam district).
According to the Hanoi Department of Construction, the traffic diversion plan is implemented based on the proposal of the Phu Dong Commune Investment - Infrastructure Project Management Board, the approved design documents and the consensus of inter-sectoral agencies at the meeting on January 22, 2026.
Ban on the Da dike road section nearly 1km long. Specifically, to serve the construction of the roadbed and surface items, functional forces will ban all vehicles from circulating on the Da dike route, the section from the intersection with the National Highway 1B service road to the intersection with the left Duong dike, about 928m long.
The construction area is fenced with corrugated iron combined with B40 mesh. The construction unit must install a complete system of construction site signs, road prohibition signs, "slow driving" signs, distance signs to the construction area (500m, 100m, 50m), along with lighting systems, night warning lights at both ends of the fence and along the route. Traffic organization must comply with current standards when constructing on operating roads.
In addition, the contractor must arrange guides and traffic diversion at both ends of the prohibited sections to warn and guide people and vehicles participating in traffic.
Remote traffic diversion, load adjustment. For the remote traffic diversion plan, rudimentary vehicles and motorbikes are allowed to circulate on the roads at the foot of the dyke on both sides, with an average width of about 2.5m each way.
Cars from the Hanoi - Bac Giang expressway or from underpass No. 5 (Km155+830 National Highway 1B) going towards Phu Dong - Cau Trac are guided to circulate along the left Duong dike route and comply with the system of signs, signs limiting the weight of all vehicles.
The Department of Construction also allows two-way traffic organization for cars with a total tonnage of up to 5 tons on the left Duong dyke, the section from the National Highway 1B service road to the intersection with Da dyke. Vehicles with a tonnage of over 5 tons who want to travel from the Hanoi - Bac Giang expressway to Phu Dong, Trung Mau must follow the alternative route through DT. 270 intersection, VSIP Phu Chan industrial park, Ninh Hiep road and underpass No. 4.
The implementation time of the traffic diversion plan starts from March 4, 2026 to the end of December 31, 2026.
The Department of Construction assigns specialized units to closely monitor the traffic situation in the construction area, and promptly propose adjustments to the plan when inadequacies arise. Construction contractors must strictly comply with regulations on ensuring traffic safety, be responsible for remedying damage to road infrastructure and restoring the original state.
The police agency and local authorities are requested to coordinate in regulating traffic, propagating to people, and handling cases of violations of encroachment on roads and sidewalks causing unsafety and congestion throughout the project construction period.
