Hanoi Department of Construction has just publicly announced the list of 287 transport business units with 2,812 vehicles newly licensed and with badges in August 2026. At the same time, 966 vehicles expected to expire with badges in September and October 2026 are also announced so that units can proactively carry out procedures according to regulations.
According to the Hanoi Department of Construction, information disclosure is carried out in accordance with the provisions of point b, clause 8, Article 21 and point d, clause 9, Article 23 of Decree 158/2024/ND-CP dated December 18, 2024 of the Government on road transport activities.
In August 2026, the Hanoi Department of Construction issued new business licenses for automobile transportation to 287 units in the area.
Along with the issuance of licenses, 2,812 vehicles were granted new badges. Of which, contract vehicles accounted for the majority with 2,754 vehicles, equivalent to 97.94%.
Taxis have 38 vehicles, accounting for 1.35%; fixed-route vehicles have 20 vehicles, accounting for 0.71%.
Vehicles granted new badges belong to many businesses, cooperatives and business households operating in the transport sector in the city.
Publicizing the list of vehicles aims to increase transparency in the management of transport business activities, and at the same time help units proactively review the legal status of vehicles.
Along with the list of newly issued vehicles, the Hanoi Department of Construction publicly announced 966 vehicles expected to expire their badges in September and October 2026.
Vehicles belong to many types of transport, including trucks, contract vehicles, fixed-route vehicles and taxis.
The list includes vehicles of many businesses and cooperatives operating in the fields of passenger transport, tourism, logistics, post and taxi.
The Department of Construction requests transport business units to proactively review the validity period of each vehicle's badge, carry out procedures for renewal and extension according to regulations, and avoid allowing vehicles to continue operating when the badge has expired.
Completing procedures before the expiration date helps units limit the risk of disruption of operations, while avoiding violations related to transport business conditions.
According to the Department of Construction, publicizing the list of vehicles newly issued and vehicles expected to expire badges is a content serving the management of road transport business activities.
Information about license plates, badges types, validity periods and management units helps businesses, cooperatives, and business households proactively inspect vehicles within their management scope.
The publicly disclosed data also serves the inspection and supervision of functional forces, thereby promptly detecting and handling cases of using expired badges or transport business activities that do not comply with regulations.
The Department of Construction recommends that units regularly review the validity period of badges, especially for 966 vehicles expected to expire in September and October 2026, to proactively complete procedures for extension and renewal before the document expires.
