On the afternoon of August 29, Mr. Thai Ho Phuong - Director of the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center signed document No. 751/TTDGT-QTV on the implementation of virtual tickets on two urban railway lines, Cat Linh - Ha Dong and Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station.
Accordingly, to ensure good service for travel needs, facilitate monthly ticket purchases, and improve service quality on urban railway lines, the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center will issue virtual monthly tickets (non-physical monthly tickets) on urban railway lines from September 1, 2025.
Registration for buying virtual month tickets will be done in the following 7 specific steps:
Step 1: Access the App Store (for iOS) or CH Play (for Android), download the "HN Traffic Card" application.

Step 2: Enter your phone number, enter an OTP code to register for an account. After successfully registering, log in to the application using the registered phone number and password.
Step 3: Select "Register and buy tickets", users select Subject, Ticket type and Transport type "Metro - single-route ticket card".
Step 4: The system displays the input information for each ticket type. Here, choose the corresponding monthly ticket type to buy. Enter personal information to complete the monthly ticket purchase.
Step 5: The personal information display system needs to be entered corresponding to each type of subject. Customers need to enter full information in the marked fields (*) to complete this step.
Step 6: The default system selects the type of card issued as an electronic card when registering for Metro routes. Pay by scanning the QR code via the Mobile Banking application corresponding to the ticket type and price according to regulations.
Step 7: The Metro monthly ticket registration report system is successful. Users wait for the time to process and approve the application within 3-5 days.

Step 1: Prepare a virtual card The passenger presents a virtual card in the "HN Traffic Card" application on the smartphone.
The ticket QR code is designed to prevent taking screen photos to prevent fraud against many people using the same ticket.
The dynamic QR code automatically changes in 30 seconds, with the Tramoc logo continuously flickering.
Step 2: Control the virtual card The station service staff recognizes the successfully generated virtual cards according to the following identification signs:
A dynamic QR code appears (valuable for 30 seconds countdown).
The logo of the Center is always flashy.
Customer information: Full name, date of birth, time of use, ticket code.
