The Tay Thang Long road construction investment project (section from Ring Road 3.5 to Dan Hoai Canal Road) in Dan Phuong District (Hanoi) is located on the Tay Thang Long axis road.
The project is 5.8km long through Tan Lap, Tan Hoi and Dan Phuong communes.
According to the plan, the section from Ring Road 3.5 to the intersection with Ring Road 4 (4.6km) has a cross-section of 60.5m, including a main road 2x19.25m; a median strip 6m; and a sidewalk 2x8m.
The intersection with Ring Road 4 to Dan Hoai Canal (1.2km) has a cross-section of 40m, including: main road 2x10.5m; median strip 7m; sidewalk 2x6m.
Urban main road grade, design speed 80km/h. Total estimated investment of the project is 1,298 billion VND, using Hanoi city budget.
Of the total investment cost, site clearance, compensation and resettlement support costs are more than 496 billion VND; construction costs are about 694.6 billion VND; the rest are other costs.
In the environmental impact assessment report for the Tay Thang Long road construction project (from Ring Road 3.5 to Dan Hoai Canal), the Dan Phuong District Investment and Construction Project Management Board said that to implement the project, 326,300 square meters of land will have to be reclaimed, of which about 307,800 square meters of agricultural land; about 9,125 square meters of residential land; and about 9,375 square meters of other land.
Project implementation time is after 2025, construction progress and completion of all construction and installation items of the project is about 48 months.
The Dan Phuong District Construction Investment Project Management Board assessed this as a vital and important road south of the Red River to connect Tay Thang Long Road with Ring Road 3.5 and Ring Road 4.
When completed, the project, along with the sections on the Tay Thang Long axis road, has been and is being invested in to create a vital and smooth route connecting the West Lake area to Dan Phuong district, connecting inter-regional traffic.
The route also plays a role in connecting with the planned roads of the city and Dan Phuong district that have been invested in to reduce the load on National Highway 32, facilitating people's travel as well as promoting socio-economic development.
