Speaking to direct the conference, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee - Mr. Truong Viet Dung highly appreciated the results achieved by Hanoi Metro, and emphasized that this is the achievement of the whole collective in the context that the urban railway sector is still new and facing many challenges.

This is a worthy recognition of the efforts of the company's collective. Urban railways have gradually become a part of urban life, contributing to changing people's travel behavior," Mr. Truong Viet Dung emphasized.

According to the Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, Hanoi's urban railway system is shifting from the initial stage to the development stage, from single-line operation to synchronous network exploitation. This is a fundamental shift, requiring comprehensive changes in management and implementation organization. Metro is not just a means of transportation, but an infrastructure axis to reorganize urban space, population distribution and socio-economic development.

On that basis, the Vice Chairman of Hanoi City People's Committee requested Hanoi Metro to focus on strongly shifting its thinking, first of all from an operating unit to a metro system operating unit, not only ensuring safety but also optimizing efficiency, increasing value and developing services.

Along with that, businesses need to shift from a dependent state to proactive, especially in the fields of human resources, technology and maintenance. The company needs to promote training and access to technology early, gradually mastering the system.

Another important direction is to closely link traffic and urban development, effectively exploit land funds and space around stations to improve overall efficiency.

To realize these goals, businesses need to focus on building high-quality human resources; promote digital transformation, integrate ticket systems; participate early in new projects; and restructure the organizational model towards long-term development.

Hanoi City is committed to accompanying and removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses, and at the same time requests to strengthen urban management discipline, handle the situation of illegal parking and encroachment on space around stations.

The effectiveness of urban railways is not only measured by the length of the line or the scale of investment, but also the level of daily use by people, the level of contribution to socio-economic development. A modern city is where the metro becomes an essential means of transportation in people's lives," emphasized the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.

With a clear orientation and determination to innovate, Hanoi Metro is expected to continue to improve operational efficiency, step by step affirming its important infrastructure axis role in the urban transport system, contributing to building a civilized and modern Capital.
