On January 15, information from the Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) said that in order to connect the roads in the region, reduce pressure on the routes in operation, and contribute to ensuring traffic order and safety during the Lunar New Year and Spring Festival 2025, VEC will organize traffic in a temporary operation phase, including 2 sections.
Section Km0+000 - Km3+420 (section from Trung Luong intersection to National Highway 1A intersection) and section Km50+530 - Km57+581 (section from Phuoc An intersection to National Highway 51 intersection) belong to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway Construction Investment Project.
For the section put into temporary operation from Km50+530 - Km57+581 (the last section of the route - from Phuoc An intersection to National Highway 51 intersection), there are 2 intersections, including:
Phuoc An intersection intersects Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway with the entrance to Phuoc An port. Vehicles traveling from Phuoc An port to the intersection turn right onto the branch to Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway to National Highway 51; vehicles traveling from Nhon Trach district to the intersection move along the roundabout, turn left onto the branch to Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway to National Highway 51.
Vehicles traveling on the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway (from National Highway 51 to Phuoc An) turn right off the expressway at the exit of the intersection, turn left to enter the roundabout to go to Phuoc An port or turn right to go to Nhon Trach district (on Truong Chinh street).
Two-way traffic on the road from Phuoc An port to Nhon Trach district moves through the roundabout at Phuoc An intersection.
At the intersection between Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway and National Highway 51 to Vung Tau, vehicles traveling on National Highway 51 (from Bien Hoa to Vung Tau) to intersection number 8 can turn right onto the road leading to Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway to go to Phuoc An port, Nhon Trach district (Dong Nai) or to Ho Chi Minh City.
Vehicles traveling on National Highway 51 (from Vung Tau to Bien Hoa) to intersection number 8, follow the roundabout, turn left onto the access road to enter Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway to Phuoc An port, Nhon Trach district (Dong Nai) or to Ho Chi Minh City.
Vehicles traveling on the Ben - Luc Long Thanh Expressway (from Phuoc An to National Highway 51) turn right off the expressway on the access road and continue to turn right onto National Highway 51 to go to Vung Tau or turn left into the roundabout to go to Bien Hoa (on National Highway 51).
Two-way traffic on Highway 51 (Bien Hoa - Vung Tau) moves through the roundabout at the intersection of Highway 51.
Maximum operating speed on the main line is 100 km/h, minimum speed is 60 km/h.
VEC will officially announce the time of temporary operation after the route is allowed to be put into operation. In the initial stage of temporary operation, VEC will not collect road usage fees. VEC will announce the time of toll collection after meeting the prescribed conditions.
After being put into temporary operation, the 7 km Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway (package A6.4 and package A7) is expected to "rescue" traffic jams at the intersection of National Highway 51 and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.
