On January 15, the representative of the Executive Board of the joint venture contractor for package 21 (Lizen Joint Stock Company) said that they are conducting the first 200m of asphalt testing at package 21 of component project 1 - Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway.
After 3 days, when the quality inspection of the asphalt is completed, the contractor will begin mass paving to complete the 1 km section of the highway before the Lunar New Year of At Ty in 2025.
Currently, the project site of component 1 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway has been handed over over 100 hectares, reaching 76%.
The joint venture contractor mobilized 20 construction teams, 200 vehicles and equipment, 70 engineers and more than 300 workers working in 3 shifts, 4 shifts continuously day and night.
At the construction site, a representative in charge of constructing the asphalt concrete paving line said that this is the R25 hollow asphalt concrete layer, which is also the first asphalt concrete layer to be constructed, with a thickness of 10 cm.
The asphalt concrete pavement construction will include 3 layers. After the first layer of hollow asphalt concrete, the contractor will continue to construct a layer of C19 asphalt concrete with a thickness of 7 cm and the top layer is a layer of polymer drainage asphalt concrete with a thickness of 5 cm.
An engineer at the construction site also said that to ensure the quality of the project, the asphalt construction must take into account sunny weather and prepare response plans in case of rainy weather.
Component 1 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway is 16 km long through Dong Nai province, starting from National Highway 1 (Bien Hoa City) and ending at Long An Commune (Long Thanh District).
The project includes two construction packages: package 18 (Km0+000 - Km6+200) through Bien Hoa city and package 21 (Km6+200 - Km16+000) through Long Thanh district.

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, passing through Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces, is nearly 54km long and will start construction in June 2023.
