On May 19, the People's Committee of Nam Dinh City held an inauguration ceremony for Thien Truong Bridge across Dao River, connecting Song Hao Street with Vu Huu Loi Street (Nam Dinh City).
The Thien Truong Bridge construction investment project is a key traffic project of Nam Dinh City, with a total investment of 1,200 billion VND. The project has a total length of 1.6km, including an approach road. Of which, the river overpass is about 0.8km long, with a cross-section of 20.5m, including 16 spans (13 approach spans and 3 continuous girder spans).
The starting point of the project is at the intersection of Tran Bich San Street and Song Hao Street (Nam Tinh Ward), the end point is at the intersection with Vu Huu Loi Street, connecting with the Southern Axis Road project of Nam Dinh City from Vu Huu Loi Street to National Highway 21B in Nam Van Ward.
The main bridge consists of two reinforced concrete towers with a height of 31.5m from the bridge surface, each side is arranged with 9 bundles of cable-stayed cables. The approach bridge uses a girder span structure made of prestressed reinforced concrete.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Dinh Nguyen Tien Dung said that Thien Truong Bridge was put into operation and used is important for the city, contributing to perfecting the transport network, increasing the ability to connect the city and the southern districts, better meeting the demand for goods transport and travel of the people.
In addition, the project is also a highlight in terms of landscape, a new symbol of Nam Dinh urban area, creating momentum for socio-economic development, tourism development, contributing to attracting investment and developing the city.
The Chairman of Nam Dinh City People's Committee requested that after the inauguration ceremony, the Project Management Board and construction contractors coordinate with local agencies to do a good job of environmental sanitation; organize the safe and effective exploitation and use of the bridge.
