Key highway
Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway is more than 73km long, with a total investment of about 18,000 billion VND.
The project is expected to shorten travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat to about 3 hours when completed in 2027.

The project is invested in the public-private partnership (PPP) method, invested by the T&T Group - Phuong Trang - Phuong Thanh joint venture, with an expected construction time of about 30 months.
The expressway not only removes traffic bottlenecks at Bao Loc Pass but also creates motivation for socio-economic development in the region, forming a satellite urban chain along the Dong Nai - Bao Loc - Duc Trong axis.

However, up to this point, the actual construction progress has not met the requirements due to problems in site clearance.
Along with that, Lam Dong province is urgently reviewing construction material mines, increasing supply capacity to meet construction needs in the coming time.
Faced with this situation, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has directed departments, branches, and localities to focus on removing difficulties and accelerating the project progress.

More than 5 months after the commencement date (June 29, 2025), the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway is entering a key stage, focusing on handling site clearance problems and completing legal procedures related to forest land.
According to Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway Joint Stock Company, the project enterprise has basically completed the organizational structure and mobilized enough personnel.
Owner's equity has been fully contributed; loan applications are being appraised to proceed with signing credit contracts with banks, with a total estimated value of about 8,000 billion VND.
Focus on removing bottlenecks
An important legal milestone has just been completed when the project enterprise fully paid the cost of reforestation.

Currently, functional agencies of Lam Dong province are implementing procedures to change the purpose of forest use according to regulations.
At a recent working session, Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested the investor to review the entire work, concretize the recommendations so that the government can promptly remove obstacles.
In January 2026, investors must consolidate the apparatus and open representative offices in localities where the road passes through to strengthen coordination.

Regarding site clearance, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to focus on deploying at key locations.
The project needs to recover more than 582ha of land, affecting over 2,450 households - which is identified as a key stage determining progress.
Provincial leaders requested that when the site is handed over, the contractor must immediately mobilize manpower and machinery to construct, avoiding waiting.
In terms of technology, the consulting unit has completed about 90% of the survey volume and 60% of the technical design; out of 19 bidding packages of the project, 7 bidding packages are prioritized for early implementation.
According to the plan, in the first quarter of 2026, the project enterprise will complete appraisal, sign credit contracts and select construction contractors.
From March to June 2026, the project will deploy detailed surveys, approve construction drawing designs and large-scale construction.
On January 13, more than 300 households in Hiep Thanh commune (Lam Dong) came to Agribank Duc Trong Branch to receive compensation money for the project.
From January 13 to 15, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center coordinated with the bank to pay compensation money to 274 eligible cases - this is the first locality to implement the project's payment.
