On the morning of October 10, the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, solemnly opened.
This is the first congress after the three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong (old) merged, marking an important turning point in the development process of the Central Highlands - South Central region.
Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh attended and gave a speech at the Congress. The Congress was honored to receive a congratulatory flower basket from Comrade To Lam, General Secretary of the Party Central Committee.
The Congress was attended by comrades: Nguyen Minh Triet - former President; Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - former President of the National Assembly; General Le Hong Anh - former Standing Member of the Secretariat; Pham Thi Thanh Tra - Minister of Home Affairs; Dao Ngoc Dung - Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee; Bui Thi Quynh Van - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee; and leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and other provinces.
On the local side, the Congress was attended by members of the Party Central Committee, Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Y Thanh Ha Nie K dam Province; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Pham Thi Phuc; along with comrades in the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee and 498 official delegates, representing more than 124,000 Party members of the entire Party.
According to the report at the closing session on October 9, the Congress elected a Presidium consisting of 15 comrades, a Secretariat of 3 comrades and an Inspection Committee of 5 comrades as delegates.
The results of the review showed that 498 official delegates were eligible to attend the Congress, including 92 natural delegates and 406 elected delegates. The oldest delegate is 69 years old, the youngest delegate is 27 years old; the person with the highest Party age is 48 years, the lowest is 3 years.
In his opening speech, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Y Thanh Ha Nie K dam emphasized: The 1st Congress has a particularly important political significance, opening a new development stage for the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee after the merger.
The Congress demonstrated the determination to build a clean and strong Party Committee; comprehensive development, taking stability as a foundation, taking socio-economic development as a central task, taking the happiness and prosperity of the people as the goal to strive for; by 2030, Lam Dong will become a fairly developed province, a dynamic growth pole of the region.
The 1st Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress will summarize and evaluate the results of implementing the Resolution for the 2020-2025 term; determine the direction, goals, tasks and development solutions for the 2025-2030 period; and participate in giving comments on documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress.
