On January 9th, leaders of Lam Dong province had a working session with Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) on the implementation of the project to repair runways at Lien Khuong International Airport.

At the working session, representatives of agencies and units reported and presented plans to organize the project construction. Accordingly, the parties agreed on the closing time of Lien Khuong International Airport from March 4 to serve construction.
Representatives of the contractor said that in the process of project implementation, the unit hopes to continue to receive the attention and close direction of local authorities and timely coordination of relevant departments and branches to remove difficulties and obstacles arising, ensuring progress according to the investor's plan.

The contractor is committed to strictly implementing technical measures, fully complying with the requirements of the investor, ensuring the quality of the project and completing it on schedule.
Speaking at the conclusion of the working session, Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee emphasized the importance of the project for transport infrastructure, socio-economic development and tourism of the locality; and at the same time requested the contractor to maximize resources, accelerate progress, and ensure project quality in accordance with technical standards.

Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant departments and agencies to closely coordinate with investors and contractors, promptly resolve procedures and arising problems; ensure material gathering, proactively source supply from sand, stone, and terraced land mines and sites to serve construction.
In addition, units need to pay special attention to labor safety, develop reasonable traffic regulation plans in the construction area, and ensure safety for people and vehicles.
According to the plan, Lien Khuong airport will stop operating for 6 months, from March 4 to August 25, 2026, to upgrade runways, rolling stock and technical infrastructure systems.
