On February 22nd (6th day of Tet), the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police said that during the 5-day Tet holiday of Binh Ngo 2026, the unit made records and handled more than 1,100 traffic violations.

According to Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tiep, Head of the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police, from February 14 to 21 (from the 1st to the 5th day of Tet), the force has synchronously deployed patrol, control, regulation, traffic diversion, and ensuring traffic order and safety.
Task forces focus on handling acts that are direct causes of traffic accidents, focusing on violations of alcohol concentration and speed.

During Tet, the unit organized nearly 400 patrols and inspections, mobilized more than 1,200 turns of officers and soldiers to participate in tasks; inspected more than 10,000 vehicles.
Through inspection, functional forces discovered and made records of more than 1,100 violations.
292 cases of alcohol concentration violations; more than 220 cases of speeding violations; 69 cases of violations of avoidance, overtaking, lanes, and lanes; 32 cases of improper parking and stopping.

The remaining cases mainly violated carrying more people than prescribed, not wearing helmets... Regarding violations of overloading, oversized, picking up and dropping off passengers in the wrong places, no cases were recorded.
During the 5-day Tet holiday, the whole province recorded 3 traffic accidents, killing 5 people. Among them, a serious accident on National Highway 28 killed 3 people in the same family.

In general, the awareness of complying with the law on traffic order and safety of the majority of people during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year in the province has positive changes.
In particular, on National Highway 20 - the arterial road connecting Da Lat with Ho Chi Minh City - traffic is basically smooth, without prolonged congestion.
