On March 21, the City People's Committee just issued a decision approving the list of public passenger transport route networks by bus. This network is built with 4 main groups: Inter-provincial routes; routes connecting communes and wards; specialized routes serving tourism - transit and inter-provincial routes. The goal is not only to meet the daily travel needs of people but also to strengthen inter-regional connections, creating momentum for tourism development - a key economic sector of the locality.
In the list of 35 approved inter-provincial routes, many existing routes continue to be exploited and routes are adjusted to optimize service capacity. Key routes connecting transport and tourism infrastructure include: Hoi An - Da Nang Airport; Da Nang Airport - Ba Na Hills; Da Nang Airport - Vietnam-Korea University...
To serve tourists and workers in the service industry, important destination connection routes such as Hoi An - My Son - Dong Giang or Hiep Duc - Vinpearl Nam Hoi An continue to be maintained.
In particular, this network opens a series of new bus routes towards suburban areas and mountainous districts, helping people in difficult areas easily access urban services.
New routes expected to open include: Xuan Dieu - My Son; Xuan Dieu - Que Son Bus Station; Dong Giang - Northern Quang Nam; Nam Giang - Dai Loc; Tam Thanh - Phu Ninh; Dong Giang - Nam Giang - Kham Duc.
For routes directly connecting to each commune and ward and specialized bus routes (shuttle buses serving tourism), the city will flexibly deploy based on the actual needs of the locality or proposals from investors.
Not only limited to the city's administrative boundaries, the new network also focuses on regional linkages with inter-provincial routes such as Da Nang - Hue and Tam Ky - Quang Ngai. These are vital traffic axes, contributing to promoting trade and travel of people throughout the Central region.
To realize this roadmap, the City People's Committee has assigned the Department of Construction to publicize the list of routes, organize investment attraction and develop a plan to select exploitation units in accordance with regulations.
The Department of Construction is also responsible for closely monitoring the actual operation situation to promptly propose adjustments and supplements, ensuring the bus network operates most effectively and best serves the needs of the people.
