On February 28, Mr. Nguyen Khac Viet - Director of Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway Project said that the Ministry of Construction has approved the toll rate for using the expressway for vehicles traveling on this route and 4 other routes.
The Vietnam Road Administration is expected to start collecting tolls for the above 5 expressways from 11:30 PM on March 1, 2026" - Mr. Viet added.
Among the 5 routes charged this time, there are 2 routes passing through Lam Dong province, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet. The Cam Lam - Vinh Hao route also passes through the province but has not been charged in this phase.

Thus, from March 1st, cars traveling on the expressway route from Ho Chi Minh City to Lam Dong will pay tolls on 3 routes including Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet.

Currently, Group 1 vehicles (under 12 seats, trucks under 2 tons) traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay route are paying a toll of 86,047 VND. When the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway toll is collected, Group 1 vehicles must pay an additional 128,770 VND.
Next, if traveling from Phan Thiet intersection to Vinh Hao intersection on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet route, Group 1 cars pay an additional 90,555 VND.

According to calculations, family cars with fewer than 12 seats traveling on the highway from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet (traveling on 2 highways) will pay a total of 214,747 VND. If continuing the journey through Lam Dong province (through 3 toll-charged highways), the total fee to be paid is 305,302 VND.
Toll collection is implemented in the form of non-stop automatic toll collection (ETC), free multi-lane input without barriers, single-lane output with barriers. This method aims to ensure transparency, convenience, and reduce congestion at stations.

Previously, from January 1, 2026, the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet route operated an automatic toll collection system with a level of 0 VND for testing and fixing technical errors before officially collecting from March 1.
According to the approved Project on exploiting road traffic infrastructure assets, the above 5 expressway projects will collect tolls for 7 years.
The Vietnam Road Administration is assigned to organize toll collection. After this deadline, the management agency will calculate appropriate infrastructure exploitation and management plans.
Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressways are two continuous sections. In which, the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay route is 99km long, the section through Dong Nai province is 51.5km long and the section through Lam Dong is 47.5km long.
The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet route is more than 100km long, the entire route passes through Lam Dong province.
