Accepting increased fares, now going late to return home
Recorded on August 31, the number of passengers leaving Da Nang to return to their hometowns for National Day 2/9 holiday began to increase sharply. Many buses on routes to Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Gia Lai... and neighboring localities quickly became fully booked. To ensure tickets are on time as desired, passengers must proactively contact to book seats many days in advance.
For students, although the holiday is not too long, planning to visit family is always a top priority. Nguyen Hong Dieu - a student from Quang Tri, studying in Da Nang - shared that normally the ticket price for the Da Nang - Quang Tri route is about 160,000 VND/person, but this holiday it has increased to 200,000 VND/person. To keep seats, Dieu had to transfer a deposit of 100,000 VND in advance.
I have to plan to book tickets about 1 week in advance even though this trip only lasts about 2 days. The break time is short, but I still take advantage of visiting my family. The demand for travel during the holiday is high, so I booked tickets early to reserve seats, and also booked the return trip to Da Nang to avoid running out of tickets," Dieu said.
Similarly, Mr. Le Quang Minh (from Quang Tri, working in Da Nang) said that the 5-day holiday is a good opportunity for him to arrange work to visit his family. However, finding a bus with a suitable departure time at this time is quite difficult.
Vacation bus tickets are very difficult to find, I have to choose a late-night trip to have more seats and also have to deposit 100,000 VND in advance. Although the travel time is not very convenient, having a ticket to go home on vacation is already happy for me," Mr. Minh said.

Bus station increases more than 500 bus trips to relieve passengers
According to a representative of a bus company running the Hue - Da Nang route, the number of passengers booking tickets this time has increased sharply, mainly students and workers. In order to meet the travel needs of people, the bus company has had to proactively add more increased trips on August 29 and 30.
Mr. Pham Loi - General Director of Da Nang Bus Station Transport and Management Joint Stock Company - said that the number of passengers and buses passing through the station during the September 2 holiday this year is expected to increase by about 20% - 30% compared to normal days, with more than 500 buses departing each day.
According to Mr. Loi, routes with high passenger volumes are mainly concentrated in central provinces such as Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thua Thien Hue... Car companies on these routes have also proactively registered additional vehicles to serve people.

Before the holidays, the bus station has proactively developed a plan to closely coordinate with transport units, preparing additional vehicles to relieve passengers. The goal is to solve the problem for passengers to leave immediately, without causing congestion or passengers being late and concentrated at the station," Mr. Pham Loi emphasized.
Also according to the leader of Da Nang Bus Station, currently most passengers proactively book tickets and book time in advance via online channels or phones, and get on the bus and leave the station immediately, so there is no longer a scene of jostling and waiting for too long at the station like in previous years.
