According to the reflection of people in Yen Nghia ward (Hanoi), the situation of encroachment on road corridors, roads, and sidewalks for business on National Highway 6, the section passing through Yen Nghia ward, has been common for many years. A series of stores selling cars, machinery, used goods, and trees occupy public spaces as places to display goods, causing traffic obstruction and seriously affecting urban order.

According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, from Dong Mai gas station to Phuong Bai street, many households living along National Highway 6 have encroached on the road corridor to sell goods and specialized vehicles. In particular, in the Mai Linh bridge area, a series of scrap businesses and specialized motor vehicles blatantly occupy most of the traffic corridor, making this area always messy and unsafe.

Ms. Bui Kim Thoa (a resident of Dong Mai) said that encroachment on the traffic corridor in this area has been going on for a long time. "The local government has repeatedly taken action to handle the situation, but after a while, this situation has recurred. National Highway 6 is already narrow, with many trucks passing through, and is still under construction, so it is dirty and polluted, greatly affecting people's lives," Ms. Thoa reflected.

Sharing the same opinion, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai (residing in Chuong My) said that every day he goes here to work and has witnessed many accidents, vehicles falling due to scrap being scattered on the road. "It is muddy on rainy days and dusty on sunny days, making it very unsafe for road users," said Mr. Hai.
Regarding this issue, in an interview with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Head of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Affairs Department of Yen Nghia Ward - said: the above section is within the site clearance scope of National Highway 6. The People's Committee of the ward has assigned the Yen Nghia Ward Police to deploy measures to ensure traffic order and safety because this is the intersection between the intersection and the bridgehead.

"The People's Committee of the ward has planned to handle business households encroaching on sidewalks and roads to ensure traffic safety. This has existed for many years, and the government and authorities have repeatedly taken action to handle it. In the coming time, in addition to propaganda, mobilization, and signing a commitment not to violate, the ward will strictly handle cases of intentional recurrence," Mr. Tuan added.
