On the afternoon of December 9, Hai Lang District Police (Quang Tri) confirmed that they are coordinating with other units to clarify the cause of the traffic accident that occurred in the area.
Previously, at around 2:10 p.m. the same day, a passenger car with license plate 74B-000.86 driven by D.C.T (born in 1975, residing in Ward 1, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province) traveling North-South, when reaching Km 791+270 National Highway 1A (Cau Nhi Village, Hai Chanh Commune, Hai Lang District, Quang Tri Province) had a traffic accident.
At the scene, the car was lying on the side of the road, a long section of the guardrail was damaged.
At the time of the accident, there were about 16 people on the bus. Locals and authorities had to use many measures to get the passengers out of the bus.
Initial information shows that about 10 people were injured, most of them with minor injuries, and have been taken to a medical facility for examination.
The cause of the traffic accident is currently being investigated.
