The incident occurred at around 7:40 p.m. on March 25. At that time, the type 16 car, however, had been converted into a truck (vacuum - PV), with license plate 49D-009.xx traveling in the direction of Tay Son - Nguyen Luong Bang.
Although it was a prohibited vehicle, the car still went straight to the Thai Ha overpass.
As a result, the rear of the car was stuck in the height limit barrier of the bridge, causing the car to stand still, causing traffic congestion in the area.

Upon receiving the report, Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 - Traffic Police Department (Hanoi City Police) quickly arrived to regulate traffic, instruct drivers to move safely, and not to warrant the bridge's height limit.
Working with the authorities, driver V.D.A (born in 1991, residing in Binh Phuoc) said that because he did not know the route, he followed the instructions of the map without paying attention to warning signs and prohibition signs.
Based on the violation of driver V.D.A, the working group drew up a record of the fine.
For the above violation, driver V.D.A will be administratively fined 5 million VND, have 2 points deducted from his driver's license and have his vehicle impounded for 7 days.

In fact, this is not the first time cars have been stuck on the Thai Ha overpass, khucking down a barrier with limited height.
The Thai Ha - Chua Boc overpass is a lightly assembled overpass, opened to traffic from the end of April 2012. After putting it into operation, the authorities have set up a system of signs prohibiting slow travel, banning trucks and passenger cars, prohibiting pedestrians and placing limit frames and signs prohibiting vehicles over 2.2m in height from traveling on the overpass.

The authorities have even deployed smart cameras to warn vehicles from a distance at Thai Ha overpass. This system uses the application of an artificial intelligence (AI) platform to analyze and process images using a camera.
The purpose is to measure vehicle traffic, classify vehicles (terracotta, passenger car, motorbike), identify vehicle license plates (car) and warn of limited-old vehicles traveling through the bridge.
