The Provincial Police advised the Provincial People's Committee to successfully organize a provincial-level firefighting and rescue plan drill in 2024, mobilizing many forces, vehicles and assets from many local agencies and organizations and the Police of neighboring provinces to participate; organize a provincial-level "Firefighting and Rescue Inter-family Team" competition.
Opened 129 training courses on fire prevention and fighting and rescue with 4,049 participants. Inspected fire safety at 1,966 establishments, handled 33 violations, imposed fines of over 173 million VND; responded promptly to fires occurring in the area, with no casualties or particularly serious incidents.
Deploying many solutions to ensure traffic safety, focusing on the topic of handling oversized, overloaded vehicles, and alcohol concentration violations. Decisions were made to fine 23,350 cases of violations, collecting over 49 billion VND through the State Treasury, revoking driving licenses for 6,785 cases, temporarily detaining 12,130 vehicles... contributing to reducing traffic accidents on all three aspects (21 fewer cases, 6 fewer deaths, 24 fewer injuries compared to 2023). There were no inland waterway traffic accidents and particularly serious traffic accidents.
The provincial police mobilized 3,016 officers and soldiers along with 50 canoes and 128 cars to key areas to coordinate and support the evacuation and relocation of 6,143 people to safety due to the developments of storms and heavy rains in the province, especially the impact of storm No. 6 and its circulation that caused widespread flooding in Quang Binh province.
