The project to expand National Highway 3 from the intersection of National Highway 18 to the intersection to Soc Temple is one of the key traffic projects in Soc Son district (Hanoi), implemented in the period of 2024 - 2027.
The project is about 6.7km long, starting at Km19+640 National Highway 3 at the intersection with National Highway 18 (National Highway 18 overpass) in Phu Lo commune; ending at Km26+370 National Highway 3, the intersection with the road to Soc temple, Phu Linh commune.
The project has a total investment of over 1,480 billion VND, with the People's Committee of Soc Son district as the investor. Of which, the cost of compensation, support for site clearance and resettlement is nearly 700 billion VND; the construction cost is over 560 billion VND; the contingency cost is 172 billion VND.
The road has a normal roadbed cross-section of 52m; the sidewalks on each side are 8m wide... The section passing through the auction area of Tien Duoc commune, from Km23+067.5 to Km23+390, the roadbed has a cross-section of 60.8-62m. This is an urban road with a design speed of 80km/h.
To implement the project, Soc Son district plans to reclaim about 350,000 square meters of land in Phu Lo, Dong Xuan, Mai Dinh, Tien Duoc, Phu Linh communes and Soc Son town.
According to the People's Committee of Soc Son district, investment in road expansion is necessary and urgent, contributing to completing the planned traffic network, helping to conveniently connect the central area of the capital to the northern provinces.
Create space for development of the central area of Soc Son district, gradually complete infrastructure, develop socio-economy, ensure national defense and security of Soc Son district in particular and Hanoi city in general.
In the period of 2021-2025, Dan Phuong district will deploy the construction of Tay Thang Long route (section from Ring Road 3.5 to Dan Hoai canal road, Dan Phuong district).
The project is 5.8km long, passing through Tan Lap, Tan Hoi and Dan Phuong communes. The project has a total investment of nearly 1,300 billion VND, using the Hanoi city budget.
According to the design, the section from Ring Road 3.5 to the intersection with Ring Road 4 (4.6km) has a cross-section of 60.5m, including a main road 2x19.25m for 10 lanes; a median strip 6m; and a sidewalk 2x8m.
The intersection with Ring Road 4 to Dan Hoai Canal (1.2km) has a cross-section of 40m, including: main road 2x10.5m for 6 lanes; median strip 7m; sidewalk 2x6m. Urban main road class, design speed 80km/h.
To implement the project, Dan Phuong district plans to reclaim 326,300m2 of land, of which agricultural land is about 307,800m2; residential land is about 9,125m2; other land is about 9,375m2.
According to the People's Committee of Dan Phuong district, the completed project, along with the sections on the Tay Thang Long axis road, has been and is being invested in to create a vital and smooth route connecting the West Lake area to Dan Phuong district, connecting inter-regional traffic.
The route also connects with the planned roads of the city and Dan Phuong district that have been and are being invested in to reduce the load on National Highway 32, promote socio-economic development, and gradually complete the construction of traffic infrastructure according to the general planning of the capital.
