Since the end of July 2024, after Hoang Mai district (Hanoi) handed over a part of the cleared site, the contractor of Truong Son 97 branch (Truong Son Construction Corporation) has mobilized human resources and machinery to carry out the construction of expanding Tam Trinh road.
The project has a total length of 3.5km, the cross-section is expanded according to the planning to 40m. The starting point connects with Minh Khai Street, the end point intersects with Ring Road 3. The total investment capital of the project is nearly 3,400 billion VND.
The total land acquisition area (after boundary adjustment) is about 54,009m2, involving about 1,590 households and 20 organizations, located in the 3 wards of Mai Dong, Hoang Van Thu and Yen So.
According to Mr. Nguyen Trong Vinh - representative of the contractor of Truong Son 97 branch, the Tam Trinh road expansion project is divided into 2 construction phases.
Phase 1 will be constructed on the left side of the route in sections where the ground is already cleared. Phase 2 will be constructed on the existing section of Tam Trinh Street.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Vinh said that up to now, the contractor has only been able to construct about 800m, divided into 4 sections, in a rolling manner.
In the cleared sections, the contractor has constructed the final base layer (aggregate layer) and cannot deploy the asphalt concrete layer because some electric poles are still within the construction roadway.
While waiting for the handover of the next sections of the site, the contractor is implementing items that do not depend on the site.
After about 5 months of implementation, the construction output to date is nearly 30/294 billion VND of the contract value.
Regarding the difficulties in implementing the project, Mr. Vinh said that because this is an important route in Hoang Mai district, the traffic volume of people and vehicles is large. This requires the contractor to both construct and ensure traffic.
The assigned site is still uneven and not continuous, so the contractor has not yet maximized the efficiency of machinery and equipment.
"The handover of the site at many times only reached 40m/section while for effective construction and cost optimization, the continuous site length needed to be over 100m" - Mr. Vinh said.
According to the contractor representative, the construction period of this project is 650 days, from July 31, 2024, the unit is determined to stick to the schedule. If the entire site is received in the first quarter of 2025, the project will "reach the finish line" in February 2026.
